Worship Leader Week – Day Three

I want to share a verse with you today that has been incredibly encouraging to me over the course of this last season of my life. It’s one that has so much affirmation, promise, and joy wrapped into it. I pray that you can rest within the words of this verse as you continue throughout your day.

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

I love the way that this verse begins by reminding us that God is forever with us and will save us. It is so easy to believe the lies of the enemy that God has abandoned us or will never rescue us. But lies are lies for a reason. This verse affirms the character of our God and that He is truly our “ever-present help”.

My favorite part of this verse is the end of it, “but will rejoice over you with singing”. Worship Leaders are consistently leading people to praise the Lord through singing and dancing, yet this verse tells us that our God sings over us. Only our God would love us so much that He would rejoice over each one of us with songs of joy.

So, when you walk through darkness or loneliness and you feel defeated, remember the promises of Zephaniah 3:17…

  1. God is with you
  2. God will save you
  3. God will delight in you
  4. God will rejoice over you with singing

Have a blessed day!!
