Worship Songs for Anxiety

In the midst of an anxiety epidemic, the teaching “do not be anxious about anything” (Phil. 4:6) seems more difficult to follow than ever before. As many of our brothers and sisters commit to therapy, seeking proper medical treatment, support groups, etc., how can we best minister to their spirit in worship?

It is essential to cultivate a community of worship in the midst of anxiety and depression. It is so important to lead our people in songs that declare the truth of who Christ is and who we are in Him.

Worship music is such a powerful tool in growing to align our anxious spirit with the Holy Spirit.

While so many need healing from depression and anxiety, may we always remember that we serve the Great Physician. God is with us, even in the midst of anxiety.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Our team at Essential Worship has curated a short-list of songs as well as a Spotify playlist for anxiety in hopes to serve you individually as well as your ministry.
